About this Mod

HoldSprint

HoldSprint replaces Minecraft’s default sprint toggle with a smooth, responsive hold-to-sprint system.

Why does this mod exist?

I created this mod because I prefer a more controlled sprinting style. Instead of relying on Minecraft’s toggle mechanic, I like holding a key (such as Shift) to precisely control when I sprint and when I stop. HoldSprint makes that behavior simple, consistent, and intuitive.

What's the keybind for hold-sprint?

The keybind will always be the same as your sprint keybind.

How to Install HoldSprint on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.10).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "HoldSprint". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
