Hungry Waters
Beware the waters... Piranhas have arrived!

Overview
This mod introduces a new fish entity: the piranha.
A school of piranhas will spawn randomly in either swamp biomes, or river biomes. Piranhas have a hunger bar which goes down over time, then they enter hunting mode and will attack anything near them to refill their hunger bar.

- Piranha have a hunger bar, when it reaches zero, they will enter into hunting mode and start hunting anything alive nearby (including you)
- Piranhas will fight back when attacked
- Piranhas will only spawn in river or swamp water biomes.
Configuration
The mod includes a config file allowing you to tweak many things!
Datapack
Spawn frequency and school size can be customized via datapack, as these values are loaded from a biome modifier file.
Compatibility
Has native support for Nature's Spirit as well as Biomes O' Plenty, and most likely any other biome mod (using common tags).

You can use the mod in your modpacks as long as I get credit for the mod.

How to Install Hungry Waters on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Hungry Waters". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Hungry Waters server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Hungry Waters compatible with fabric and neoforge?
Hungry Waters officially supports fabric, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.8, 1.21.5. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Hungry Waters – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Hungry Waters consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
