Immersive Wood
Expands early game wood utilization by introducing Chopping Blocks, Unlit Campfires and Flint Tools.
About this Mod
Overhauls early-game progression by removing 'magic' crafting. Requires players to manually process logs on Chopping Blocks, physically ignite unlit campfires with a Fire Starter, and utilize primitive Flint tools before Stone.
This mod was primarily created for my upcoming modpack to make early-game progression feel more grounded and involved. Additional features will be added as development on the pack continues. If you plan to use this mod in your own modpack, I highly recommend using KubeJS to customize the recipes.
✨ Features
- Manual Wood Processing: Crafting table recipes for planks are disabled. You must place logs on a Chopping Block and hew them with an axe.

- Unlit Campfires: Campfires are placed unlit by default. You cannot just plop down instant safety!

- Primitive Fire Starter: A new early-game tool crafted from sticks. Hold right-click to rub them together and ignite your fires.

- Flint Toolset: A complete set of Flint tools (Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, Sword).
- Universal Compatibility: Automatically detects and supports logs from other mods (Biomes O' Plenty, Twilight Forest, etc.) without needing add-ons.
📖 Quick Guide
Scavenge three flints from gravel to make an axe head, snap a sapling into a stick, and assemble your first flint axe to finally start chopping logs on a Chopping Block.
