Player Tracker Compass
A compass to track players in the world
About this Mod
A compass to track other players in the world!
Features
The compass will point in the direction of the targeted player. Right clicking while holding the compass will change who you are targeting (in alphabetical order). Right clicking while sneaking will change your target in the other direction (opposite of alphabetical order).
If the player you are tracking is in the same dimension as you, the compass will point to their real time location. If, however, the player is in a different dimension, the compass will point to the last known position of the targeted player, and will only continue to provide real time location once the player returns to your same dimension or you travel to your target's dimension.
To get a player tracker compass, find it in the creative menu (search Player Tracker) or use /give @s tracker:player_tracker.
Why not Locator Bar?
The locator bar has its own benefits, and so does this Player Tracker. Some key differences:
- the Locator bar can differentiate between y-levels if you are close enough to your target
- the Locator bar makes it slightly inconvenient to target one specific player (unless you know their locator color)
- the Player Tracker can target a specific player on the server
- the Player Tracker can show the last known location of a player if they are in a different dimension
Feel free to use this mod in any minigames, servers, or modpacks to improve your gameplay experience! More customizability coming in the future.
