About this Mod
Inertia!
Fluid Camera & Motion Overhaul
Bring fluidity and comfort to Minecraft. Remove the rigid stiffness of vanilla movement and eliminate motion sickness.
🌊 What is Inertia?
Inertia! replaces the rigid, snapping camera of vanilla Minecraft with a silky-smooth, responsive system. It removes the harsh micro-stutters and "stair-stepping" of vanilla movement, replacing them with fluid transitions.
It operates on a simple philosophy: Gameplay should feel comfortable, not jarring.
- Hate the screen snapping when walking up stairs? Smooth it out.
- Tired of micro-jitters from your mouse? Filter the noise.
- Suffer from motion sickness? Stabilize your view.
Designed with accessibility in mind, Inertia! makes Minecraft feel modern and fluid, giving you full control over how your camera handles.
🎥 Key Features
Inertia! polishes the rough edges of the game engine without sacrificing the precision you need for gameplay.
☁️ Vertical Smoothing
- No More Stair-Stepping: The camera glides smoothly when walking up blocks, stairs, and slabs, removing the rapid "snap" effect that causes eye strain.
- Softened Descents: Falling feels less abrupt. The camera transitions smoothly downward, removing the jarring visual disconnect of rapid height changes.
- Cushioned Landings: Instead of snapping instantly to the ground, the camera stabilizes gently upon landing, making movement feel continuous rather than jagged.
🖱️ Input Polish
- Fluid Aim: Mouse movement is interpolated independently of the render rotation.
- Jitter Elimination: This eliminates the "stepping" feel of high-DPI mice and low framerates while ensuring your aim remains accurate.
- Crosshair Sync: Unlike cinematic cameras that misalign your aim, Inertia! ensures your crosshair always interacts with the block you are looking at.
🤢 Motion Sickness Relief
- Bobbing Separation: Specifically designed tools allow you to decouple head bobbing (the camera shake) from hand bobbing (the walking animation).
- Jagged Terrain: A custom smoothing curve removes the harsh camera snaps when navigating rough terrain.
