Fabric/Quilt mod, which adds a game-like challenge to gather all items

Goal: Collect all items in the game! :)

Minecraft compatibility

This project is not actively maintained by me anymore. Nevertheless, i will fix bugs and update to a specific version on request. For this simply join my discord linked below.

Configuration

The items contained in this challenge are configurable via the config file:

defaultExcludeConfig - object to define the default excluded items for new worlds

excludeCreatives - automatically remove all items, which are only available in creative

custom - exclude your own items (e.g. minecraft:stone)

Furthermore, the client settings can be changed via modmenu.

Make sure not to delete any files in the item-hunt folder as there are stored all the progress of the players.

Other

⚠️ The development version is always the latest stable release of minecraft.
Therefore, new features will only be available for the current and following minecraft versions.

How to Install item-hunt on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "item-hunt". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

item-hunt server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is item-hunt compatible with fabric and quilt?

item-hunt officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.7, 1.21.6. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with item-hunt – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if item-hunt consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
