About this Mod
Allows for using regex for selecting item models with the vanilla format!
Normally, you would neet to list multiple exact strings to allow for variation
But with this mod, you can use regex, iregex, pattern or ipattern in its place!
Because of the way the mod reads from the already existing json format, editing your packs to work with this mod won't break them with vanilla! If you want to, you can keep the cases you had before and in addition add a regex check. That way if someone were to use your texture pack in vanilla, it would still read the normal names correctly. (also who would name an item "iregex:.*Darksaber Hilt.*" on accident?)

How to Install Item Regex on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Item Regex". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Item Regex server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Item Regex compatible with fabric?

Server lagging with Item Regex – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Item Regex consumes the most tick time.
