JEI Hover Search

A simple and convenient Minecraft mod that allows you to quickly search for items in JEI by simply hovering over them and pressing a hotkey.

Inspired by JEI's hover functionality, this mod adds the ability to instantly search for the item you're currently hovering over, making inventory management and recipe discovery much faster and more intuitive.

Usage

Hover over any item in your inventory, JEI interface, or any GUI
Press the hotkey (default: Y key)
JEI instantly searches for that item

The keybinding can be customized in Minecraft's Controls settings under the "JEI (Hovering with Mouse)" category.

How to Install JEI Hover Search on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "JEI Hover Search". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

JEI Hover Search server crashes on startup – what to do?
