This mod lets you use JourneyMap on Xaero servers without having to have Xaero installed, while still being able to see players as if you had "Extended Radar" (JM) enabled (if the serversided Xaero is configured to share player locations).

Joining serverside-Xaero servers

This mod adds the necessary registry entries & network channels to join a server with Xaeros Worldmap or Xaeros Minimap.

Radar Sync

If either Xaeros mod is configured to sync player locations between clients beyond render distance, this mod picks it up and automatically syncs it to your JourneyMap as if you were natively using "Extended Radar".

Automatic disabling

If the server also has JourneyMap, the Radar Sync is automatically disabled to not interfere with normal JourneyMap operation.

How to Install JourneyLocator: Xaero Compat on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set neoforge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "JourneyLocator: Xaero Compat". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
