About this Mod
JukeboxHUD is a clean info layer for music lovers and builders. Point your crosshair at any jukebox and a small readout appears in the top-left of your screen.
What it shows
- Empty / Playing — instantly see whether the jukebox you're looking at has a record loaded and spinning.
- Now playing — when the song can be read, the HUD shows the track name (e.g. Now playing: C418 - cat) so you know exactly what's on without standing in earshot.
Why
Vanilla gives no on-screen feedback about a jukebox beyond the music itself — once you're a few blocks away, or have several jukeboxes side by side, there's no way to tell which one is playing or what's loaded. JukeboxHUD puts that state on screen so you can manage a whole music room at a glance.
Controls
- J — toggle the readout on/off. An action-bar message confirms the state.
How it's built
- Reads the jukebox's
has_recordblockstate plus the playing song straight off the block you're looking at — no commands, no mixins. - The readout only appears while your crosshair is on a jukebox, and respects F1 (hide HUD) and open menus.
