About this Mod
📖 About
This datapack adds a pet bed to the game, which can be crafted from two planks and two wool (16 variations in total, one for each wool color). If your pet has rested on it, then after its death it will respawn on it after one in-game day, similar to how the player respawns on a bed.

Which pets can interact with the pet bed?
Currently, wolves and cats can interact with the pet bed. You can also add other entities via a tag (see “For Developers”).
How can I stop my pet from being respawned?
If you want to remove your pet's spawnpoint, you simply need to destroy the pet bed it is linked to.

You can specify in the entity type tag (pet_bed/tags/entity_type/pets.json) pets from your mods that will be able to interact with the pet bed

How to Install Just Pet Bed on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Just Pet Bed". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Just Pet Bed server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Just Pet Bed compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Just Pet Bed officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.11. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Just Pet Bed – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Just Pet Bed consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
