About this Mod

Kaiju Strike Designator

Call down a catastrophic kaiju beam strike anywhere in your world.

How It Works

  1. Craft the Designator - Requires nuclear cores, diamond blocks, netherite and a dragon head
  2. Place the Kaiju Strike Device - Right click to aim and place it in the world
  3. Fuel It - Insert a nuclear core (nether star + end crystals + redstone blocks)
  4. Start the Countdown - Shift right click to cycle between 3 timer modes then activate
  5. Run.

What Happens

  • Sky darkens as vortex clouds swirl overhead
  • Blocks rip from the ground and spiral upward
  • Massive beam fires from bedrock to sky with dynamic noise-based visuals
  • 3-phase explosion carves a bowl-shaped crater with jagged edges
  • Crater is lined with irradiated blocks that emit radiation and geiger counter sounds

Features

  • Configurable blast radius (10-500 blocks, default 150)
  • Configurable countdown (5-300 seconds)
  • 3 color palettes for the beam
  • Irradiated terrain - Custom radiation effect (not wither), green tint, proximity damage
  • Full atmosphere system - Custom GLSL vortex clouds, block ripping physics, shockwave visuals
  • Geiger counter ambient sounds near irradiated blocks
  • Immersive audio - 11 sound events with 3D positional audio (~800 block range)

Config Options (atomicbreathrailgun-common.toml)

  • Blast radius, countdown duration
  • Destroy bedrock toggle
  • Require fuel toggle
  • Dimension whitelist
  • Block blacklist (barriers, command blocks by default)
  • Radiation duration and amplifier
