About this Mod

Keep Inventory

Keep Inventory cover image

Never lose your items on death again! This mod automatically enforces the keepInventory gamerule to always be true, preventing any manual changes.

Features

  • Auto-Enable - Sets keepInventory=true when any world loads
  • Constant Enforcement - Checks every second to ensure it stays enabled
  • Auto-Correction - If changed to false, automatically sets it back to true

How It Works

The mod uses two mechanisms to ensure keepInventory is always enabled:.

Periodic Check: Every second (20 ticks), verifies the gamerule is still true.
Auto-Fix: If it detects the gamerule was changed to false, it automatically corrects it back to true.

This means even if a player or admin tries to run /gamerule keepInventory false, the mod will change it back within 1 second!

Keep Inventory server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Keep Inventory compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?

Keep Inventory officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Keep Inventory – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Keep Inventory consumes the most tick time.
