UnOfficial Port of MrSterner's GuardVillagers to 1.21.1 that adds GuardVillagers that can use spells!
About this Mod
Fixes & New Features
- Guards can now shoot normally using the crossbow (no more glitching out and not firing)
- Guards can now use the bow goal from MrSterner's code
- Spell Engine, Wizards, Spellblades and Such compat!
- Guards can use Wands & Spellblades
- Basic Wands allow guards to use basic spells (e.g., Fireball)
- Netherite Wands allow guards to use enhanced spells (e.g., Meteor)
- No friendly fire for spells!
- Fire, Frost, and Arcane Wands & Staffs are considered basic, while their Netherite and Tier 4 versions are advanced

- New guards will have a chance to get holy skills like holy prevention (LnE), circle of healing, barrier
By default, the config sets the base drop-chance of equipment to 0.

How to Install Wizard Villagers on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Wizard Villagers". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Wizard Villagers server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Wizard Villagers compatible with fabric?
Wizard Villagers officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Wizard Villagers – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Wizard Villagers consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
