About this Mod

Keyset

Keyset

Profiles for every way you play.

Stop rebuilding your controls every time your playstyle changes.
Keyset saves your keybind layouts as profiles — PvP, building, creative, tech modpack, whatever —
and lets you switch between them instantly, from inside the game.

✨ Features

🗂️  Profiles — Create as many named keybind layouts as you want. Switch with one click or automatically on server join.

🔍  Live Conflict Detection — Live scan of every clashing bind in your current layout. Fix them one by one or in bulk. Vanilla binds are never touched without you asking.

🔄  Auto-Switch — Set rules like hypixel.net → PvP and Keyset handles the switch the moment you connect. Works with partial server address matching.

🔗  Share Codes — Export any profile as an 8-character code. Send it to a friend, paste it in Discord, import it in seconds. Codes expire after 90 days. No account needed.

💾  Save Live — Made changes in vanilla Controls? Hit Save Live to capture exactly what's bound right now into the selected profile.

🎓  Interactive Tutorial — First-run guide that walks you through every feature with real tasks. Relaunch it any time from the ? button.

🎨  Polished UI — Custom-themed interface with animations, contextual darkening, and a clean tab layout. No additional libraries required!

🚀 Getting Started

  1. Open Controls and click Keyset.
  2. On first launch, follow the interactive tutorial — it takes about two minutes.
  3. Create a profile, click Save Live to capture your current binds, then Activate.
  4. Open the Conflicts tab to clean up any overlapping keys.
  5. Use Auto-Switch to set server rules. Use Share to export or import layouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Keyset server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Keyset compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?

Keyset officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.21.10. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Keyset – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Keyset consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
