About this Mod

☠ Kill Counter

A lightweight kill tracker available as both a Fabric mod and a Paper plugin.

✨ Features

  • 💬 Chat notification on every kill — shows ☠ Kill #1, ☠ Kill #2, etc.
  • 💀 Resets on death — your streak goes back to 0 when you die
  • 🌐 Per-server — each server starts fresh, counts don't carry over
  • Private — only you see your kill count

📖 How it works

Just play normally. Every time you kill a mob or player, a message appears
in your chat showing your current kill count. When you die, the counter resets
and you start again from 0.

Frequently Asked Questions

Kill Count server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Kill Count compatible with fabric and paper?

Kill Count officially supports fabric, paper for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Kill Count – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Kill Count consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
