About this Mod

Know My Name

Mods like Optifine or Continuity enable resourcepack creators to change the texture of a block depending on it's custom name. xali's Enhanced Vanilla for example, retextures barrels to have different variants depending on their name.

This does not work with multiplayer servers out of the box, because after re-joining or for a different player then the one placing the barrel, the server does not tell the client the custom name of that barrel. This mod fixes this problem. (Hurray!)

How to Install Know My Name! on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Know My Name!". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
