About this Mod
Minecart Trains Mod
This mod allows you to build more realistic Minecart trains in Minecraft while trying to stay close to vanilla mechanics.
Features
Currently the mod only allow you to chain Minecarts together. This is done by sneak-clicking the first cart of your train with a chain in your hand and then on the next one down. This process can be repeated as often as desired to construct your train.
Only the front cart can be pushed by the player and is the only one to be affected by booster rails, all other cars just act as wagons. Chaining works with all types of Minecarts.
Compatibility
This mod requires FabricAPI to work. This mod IS compatible with the new Minecart-Improvement experiment in the game.

How to Install Minecart Trains on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Minecart Trains". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Minecart Trains server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Minecart Trains compatible with fabric?
Minecart Trains officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.7. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Minecart Trains – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Minecart Trains consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
