About this Mod

Let It Rain

A Minecraft Fabric mod, which keeps the weather when sleeping.

This is a modern and fabric version of Yermolim's Keep The Rain.

Toggling

Within the config directory is the config file let-it-rain.json.

The chances are in %, so 100 is always, and 0 is to never restore weather.

Versions

This is a simple mod. The listed versions are just versions I currently need (and a few 1.20.x more).

If you need another version, open an issue on GitHub.

Maintenance

I'm not sure if I'll update this mod to modern versions. I'm not into modding Minecraft, nor am I playing it that often. Right now I'm playing with Create, which is why I'm doing this.

As I said before, open a ticket, and I'll see what I can do.

How to Install LetItRain on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "LetItRain". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

LetItRain server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is LetItRain compatible with fabric?

LetItRain officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.6. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with LetItRain – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if LetItRain consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
