How to Use

Controls

  • J (Default) – Enable the Live Texture Editor.
  • R (Default) – Open the editor for the block or entity you are looking at.
  • X (Default) – Hold to see the world without your changes

In the Editor

  • Left Click – Draw / Use tool
  • Right Click + Drag – Pan canvas
  • Scroll Wheel – Zoom
  • Y and Z – Undo / Redo

Applying Changes

  1. Apply live updates instantly in your session.
  2. Export the pack to save all applied textures.
  3. Reset to revert to the original texture (Vanilla or active resource pack).

Active texture packs are loaded as the base, and your edits visually override them. Exported packs can be placed on top of existing packs.

Known Limitations

  2. Install Fabric API.
  3. Place the mod .jar file into your mods folder.
  4. Launch Minecraft.

Or simply download using Modrinth App / Curseforge

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Server lagging with Live Texture Editor – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Live Texture Editor consumes the most tick time.
