Features

🔒 Locks and Tiers

• Craftable locks with multiple difficulty tiers and lockpicks with different durability
• Placing a lock on a block will give you the original key. Once locked, blocks can be broken only by the lock owner.
• Every block can be protected. Default settings include main interactable vanilla blocks (doors, chest, etc.) but you can add whatever block you want through IDs or Tags (lever, buttons, modded machines and so on).

🗝️ Keys

• Keys: Each lock has a specific original key.
• Blank keys: Craft them with original keys to make duplicates.
• Keychain: Handy item to group all your keys in one place, right click keys in inventory to merge/unmerge them.
• Master Key: Available in creative only, it opens every lock.

🎮 Lockpicking Minigame

Trying to pick a lock brings up a Skyrim-inspired minigame:

• Move the pick around to find the sweet spot
• If you succeed, the lock breaks leaving the block unprotected
• If you fail, the lockpick might break instead
• Each lock and pick tier affects how hard the minigame is

⚙️ Fully Configurable

The mod comes with a flexible config system that lets you tweak:

• Which blocks can be locked (both using block IDs or tags)
• Lock difficulty per tier
• Lockpick durability per tier
• How many failed attempts before a lockpick breaks
• And much more

Config Parameters

• sweetSpontHint: Enable or disable animation that facilitate lockpicking during the minigame,
• damageChance: Chance to damage lockpicks when in wrong spot (min 0, max 1),
• keychainMaxKeys: Maximum number of key that a keychain can hold (min 2),
• lockVisibility: Show locks indicators,
• dropLockOnBreak: Drop locks when breaking protected blocks,
• ownersNeedKey: Owners of protected blocks still need keys to interact,
• lockpickDurability: Durability of lockpicks (based on tier),
• lockDifficulty: Difficulty of a lock to be picked (based on tier),
• protectableBlockIds: List of IDs of blocks that can be locked,
• protectableBlockTags: List of Tags of blocks that can be locked
