About this Mod
Lost Features adds features that were supposed to be in the game, but weren't added.
There are versions of this mod for both Forge and Fabric, the Fabric version requires the Fabric API.
Current Features
Fireflies
- Spawn in the Mangrove Swamp biome at night.
Sculk Jaw
- A Sculk block that bites entities that happen to step on it.
Barnacle (Monster of the Ocean Depths)
- Pulls players underwater with its tongue. Spawns in deep ocean biomes.
Wildfire (Hovering Inferno)
- Has 4 shields that orbit around it.
- Takes less damage the more shields it has.
- Spawns in Nether Fortresses.
Moobloom
- A special cow that bees like.
Chillager (Iceologer)
- Summons falling ice above its target.
- Spawns in raids.
Ice Chunk
- Summoned by the Chillager, falls and deals damage on impact.
Copper Golem
- Can be summoned with a carved pumpkin on top of a copper or cut copper block.
Tuff Golem
- Can be summoned with a carved pumpkin on top of tuff.
- Picks up items to display them.
Ostrich
- Spawns in savanna biomes.
- Can be bread with flowers.
Baobab Trees Wood Type
- These large trees generate in savanna biomes.
- The Baobab wood works like other wood types.
Termite Nests
- Termite nests generate in savanna biomes and are made up of Termite Nest, Spire and Core blocks.
- Nests with Termite Nest Core blocks get bigger over time.
Badlands Cactus
- A goofy cactus that generates in badlands biomes.
Available Versions
How to Install Lost Features on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Lost Features". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Lost Features server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Lost Features compatible with fabric and forge?
Lost Features officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.20, 1.19.4. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Lost Features – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Lost Features consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
