A lightweight Origins add-on that adds the Aetherian—a celestial, Aasimar-inspired origin designed to pair naturally with The Aether. Start your adventure among floating isles, drift like a feather, and draw strength from sunlight—yet find your power dimmed in starless realms.

Start in the Aether

Spawns new Aetherians in aether:the_aether (Blazeborn-style spawn power).

Heavenly Descent

Built-in slow-fall and no fall damage for smooth aerial traversal.

Solar Grace

Move 15% faster in direct sunlight for a breezy, daytime momentum boost.

Starless Weakness

Reduced movement speed and attack damage in the Nether and End—the sky’s favor fades where light is absent.

Skybound Step

Double jump for mid-air corrections and stylish leaps. Includes a small HUD pip and a safe fallback activation.

Why this exists

I couldn't for an origin that feels like Enderian/Blazeborn in structure but Aasimar-flavored and tuned for The Aether. So, I created it! This add-on aims to be tiny, readable, and drop-in friendly for Fabric 1.20.1 modpacks.

Works fine alongside common RPG stacks (Better Combat, PlayerEx/Data Attributes, YUNG’s structures, etc.).

Configuration & Balance

All powers are data-driven (JSON). If you want different numbers:
Sunlight speed bonus (+15%)
Nether/End penalties (−15% speed, −20% attack)
Double-jump cooldown (20 ticks)

Compatibility Notes

Spawn behavior follows Blazeborn’s approach (origins:modify_player_spawn), so it applies on first spawn in new worlds.

FAQ

Q: I didn’t spawn in the Aether.
A: Spawn powers apply on first spawn in a new world. If testing in an existing save, re-pick the origin with an Orb of Origin or start a new world.

Q: Can you add [X] ability?
A: I don't really want to continue working on this. This is mostly for a server I'm maintaining!
