About this Mod

Low Fire Model

Requires Cloth Config

side-by-side comparison of the mod, a low fire resource pack and vanilla behavior.

A simple fabric 1.21.11+ mod that lets you adjust the scale of the "on fire" entity model without changing the block model.
This mostly benefits from pvp where the fire obscures nametag info like health on pvp servers.

Why? low fire resource packs exist

Yeah You are correct. those packs do fix the issue, but also affect the regular fire block's height.
I didnt want the block height to change, and I couldn't find a way to achieve this without modifying the game.

GenAI statement: I have used LLM's to help figure out how to make this mod. mainly to find where to change the fire model in code, but this isn't a 100% GenAI mod.
