About this Mod

This mod will not be maintained after 1.20.2 because in 1.20.3 an ingame command has been created /Tick: https://minecraft.wiki/w/commands/tick
Known incompatibilities
This mod doesn't work with Citadel since Citadel 2.0, because Citadel modifies the tickrate too.
This mod is heavily inspired by the 1.12.2 mod Tickrate Changer by Guichaguri
I am not affiliated with him; I just like his awesome mod, so I ported it to newer versions.

How to Install Madgique's Tickrate Changer on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Madgique's Tickrate Changer". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Madgique's Tickrate Changer officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.19.4, 1.18.2. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Madgique's Tickrate Changer – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Madgique's Tickrate Changer consumes the most tick time.
