About this Mod
Magneton
Magneton is a lightweight Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that adds a powerful item magnet feature to automatically attract dropped items and experience orbs towards nearby players. Inspired by popular magnet mods, it focuses on smooth gameplay, server performance, and configurability without breaking vanilla mechanics.
Key Features
Automatic Attraction: Dropped items and XP orbs within range are pulled towards players with smooth, suction-like movement.
Line-of-Sight Checks: Items only attract if there's a clear line of sight (no attraction through walls or obstacles).
Pickup Delay Respect: Items with active pickup delay (e.g., from mob drops) are ignored until they become available.
Cube-Shaped Range: Attraction works in a configurable cube radius around the nearest eligible player.
Global and Per-Player Controls: Admins can enable/disable globally, while each player can opt-out individually.
Server-Side Only: All logic runs on the server for fair multiplayer play; no client-side cheats.
Performance Optimized: Efficient scanning and attraction every server tick without lag.

Magnetron server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Magnetron compatible with forge?
Magnetron officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Magnetron – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Magnetron consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
