About this Mod

Marigolds

This mod adds a new flower called the marigold.

They can be found in patches within these biomes:

  • plains
  • snowy plains
  • birch forest
  • forest
  • flower forest

A marigold can be used to make orange dye like an orange tulip.
Using the marigold in a suspicious stew recipe gives you glowing.
You can place the flower in a pot like any other ordinary flower.

They're a cool flower; what can I say? They are a great decoration and pair well with the blue cornflower.

Go to my profile to find Marigold Rings, an addon showing how well they pair with the cornflower:)

Frequently Asked Questions

Marigolds server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Marigolds compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?

Marigolds officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.4. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Marigolds – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Marigolds consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
