About this Mod

Mel's DeCo is a decor and cosmetics mod that adds a very wide variety of furniture options as well as some cosmetics for you to wear! It includes everything from classic furniture blocks like Tables, Counters and Cabinets to more interesting blocks like Holograms, LED Light Blocks and Particle Machines to completely unique features such as the Smileycopter!
Mel's DeCo (Decorations/Cosmetics) is perfect for creative building, while still being accessible to survival players, as it covers many building themes including classic town/city, cottagecore, fantasy, futuristic and more! Decorate your libraries with Books Rows and Book Stacks or your Kitchens and Cafés with the various decorative food items provided such as Bubble Tea, Baguettes, Strawberry Milk, Tiered Cakes and so many more! Throw a party with the Mirrorball, Balloons, Particle Machines and LED Lights or make your garden cuter with Baskets, Windchimes and Birdbaths!

When using the mod in survival it is recommended that you use a mod that can show you crafting recipes such as JEI.
Please note that some of the cosmetics are broken with Optifine! However, all decorative blocks as well as some cosmetics work just fine with Optifine and shaders installed!

How to Install Mel's DeCo on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Mel's DeCo". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Mel's DeCo server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Mel's DeCo compatible with forge and neoforge?
Mel's DeCo officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.21.1, 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Mel's DeCo – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Mel's DeCo consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
