MemoryTune
MemoryTune is a lightweight Fabric optimization mod that reduces memory usage, cuts stutter, and improves FPS stability without changing vanilla gameplay.
About this Mod
MemoryTune
MemoryTune is a lightweight Fabric optimization mod that reduces memory pressure and stabilizes FPS — automatically, with no config required.
Features
Adaptive performance (client)
- Monitors FPS, heap usage, GC activity, and system memory pressure
- Applies performance tiers when needed — escalates slowly, recovers gradually
- Automatically adjusts settings such as:
- Render distance & simulation distance
- Particles, entity render distance, and entity shadows
- Graphics preset, ambient occlusion, and biome blend
- Mipmap levels, weather/cloud range, and texture filtering
- Culls distant non-essential particles, block-break particles, and particle emitters
- Restores your original settings on world change or when closing the game
Memory management (client & server)
- Tracks runtime memory pressure: Stable → Elevated → High → Critical
- Under high pressure, trims internal chunk/entity tracking caches on the server
- Uses adaptive LRU caches and object pooling for chunk metadata
- Lightweight client-side monitoring — no heavy chunk/entity bookkeeping on the client
Notes
Performance impact depends on your hardware, world, and mod setup.
MemoryTune focuses on runtime memory efficiency and adaptive client-side tuning — not a full renderer rewrite. It does not change vanilla gameplay mechanics.

MemoryTune server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is MemoryTune compatible with fabric?
MemoryTune officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with MemoryTune – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if MemoryTune consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
