About this Mod

⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️

This mod requires Fabric API.

Mod Description

Memory Usage Display is a client-sided only Minecraft mod, for the Fabric Loader, that allows users to view their game memory usage, via Minecraft's action bar. For example, the action bar text would look like this: "🟩 - 2.0/10.0 GB (20%)". The square's (like in example display text) color, changes based on the amount of RAM used of the total.

The whole mod is toggleable with this command that the mod adds: /toggleramdisplay.

For a visual of the mod, please visit this mod's Gallery Tab.

Why Download?

While the vanilla debug display allows you to see your memory usage, this mod's way to display usage is direct, allowing you to simply see it right above your hotbar, instead of having to look through all of the text to find it.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Memory Usage Display compatible with fabric?

Memory Usage Display officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Memory Usage Display – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Memory Usage Display consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
