About this Mod

MidiCraft

This mod allows you to use a MIDI keyboard in minecraft. You can set any note on the keyboard to any note-block in-game and you can play on them.

This is a client-side mod, so it can be used on servers. Lag will affect the note blocks, so it unfortunately may not always work for other players perfectly.

May induce seizures due to rapid movement of camera.

Usage

Play a note while sneaking to assign the note to the block you're looking at.
Play a note without sneaking to hit the noteblock corresponding to the note.

How to Install MidiCraft on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.19.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "MidiCraft". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

MidiCraft server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.19.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
