Don't you just hate how weak horses are in vanilla? Here is your solution!
Enchantments
Reach
Effects: +2 Entity Attack Range
Max Level: 1
Applies to: Tridents
Jousting
Effects: +4 Attack Damage per level while riding a horse.
Image is inaccurate by 2 damage (21), I was just too lazy to re-do it :sob:

Ice Strider
Effects: Turns a large radius of water into ice when walking nearby.

New Mechanics
Goat Horn Charge
When right clicking a goat horn, your horse will dash forward, granting both of you useful buffs!
Buffs
All horses now have an additional 10 hearts.
All horses now move 10% faster in water.
Horses will no longer sink when in water.
Mining while on a horse is now closer to normal mining speed.
Recipe Changes!
Saddles, name tags, leads, Tridents, and all horse armor can now be crafted!

I recommend pairing this datapack with similar mods, such as Horseman!
Warnings for Server Owners
PLEASE make sure that you do /reload after adding this pack, or else things may break! (Yes, even if you added the pack and then restarted the server, for some reason it is weird like that)
This pack is balanced around players being in max enchanted gear, but if that is not the case then I recommend editing the damage values provided from "Jousting", as it's damage is balanced around Sharpness V Netherite!

How to Install Mighty Steeds on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Mighty Steeds". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Mighty Steeds server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Mighty Steeds compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Mighty Steeds officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Mighty Steeds – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Mighty Steeds consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
