Minecraft AI Assistant
Required: Set Up Your Gemini API Key
This mod requires a Gemini API key from Google AI Studio. Without it, AI functionality will not work.
- Visit Google AI Studio
- Log in with your Google account
- Click Create API Key
- Select or create a Google Cloud project
- Copy the API key
- In Minecraft, press K to open the configuration menu
- Paste your API key and choose a Gemini model
Note: Google offers a free usage tier suitable for most Minecraft players.

Usage
AI Chat
Ask questions using:
/ai How do I make a nether portal?/ai What level do diamonds spawn?
Command Execution
Describe what you want and let the AI generate the command:
/aic Make it day→ /time set day/aic Give me 64 torches→ /give @s torch 64
Commands that are not allowed in survival mode will be ignored.(when cheats are off)
Configuration
- Press K in-game to open the settings menu (If conflicts/or not works modify keybindings)
- Paste your Gemini API key
- Select your preferred model:
- Gemini 2.5 Flash Preview
- Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview
- Gemini 2.0 Experimental
Installation
- Download the correct version for Fabric, Quilt, Forge, or NeoForge
- Place the mod
.jarfile in yourmodsfolder - Launch Minecraft
- Press K and configure the API key

How to Install Minecraft AI assistant on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Minecraft AI assistant". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Minecraft AI assistant officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.7, 1.21.6. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Minecraft AI assistant consumes the most tick time.
