About this Mod
MineCrops
MineCrops is a lightweight server-friendly mod that protects crops and makes harvesting smoother by automatically replanting when you harvest.

Features
No crop trampling
Farmland will not turn into dirt when players jump/fall on it (applies to everyone, including the owner).
Auto-replant on harvest (mature crops only)
When you break a fully grown crop, MineCrops drops the normal loot and replants the crop at age 0.
It consumes 1 seed/item from your inventory (or the equivalent item that places that crop).
If you don’t have seeds, it falls back to vanilla behavior.

Spam-harvest safe
Prevents accidentally breaking freshly replanted crops when harvesting quickly.
Mod crop compatible
Works with many modded crops by detecting their growth property automatically.
Controls / How to use
Normal harvest: break the crop as usual (no Shift needed).
Remove a crop intentionally: Sneak (Shift) + break to bypass auto-replant and allow removal.
Compatibility (GuardStone)
MineCrops respects GuardStone protection:
If GuardStone prevents a player from breaking crops in a protected area, MineCrops will not bypass it.
Owners/whitelisted players (allowed by GuardStone) will get the auto-replant behavior.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.20.1
Forge 47.x
Java 17
Notes
Designed for both singleplayer and dedicated servers.
Works best when you keep at least some seeds in your inventory while harvesting.

MineCrops server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is MineCrops compatible with forge?
MineCrops officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with MineCrops – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if MineCrops consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
