Mob Dismemberment [UNOFFICIAL MODERN PORT]
A port of iChun's Mob Dismemberment mod
About this Mod
The satisfying gib mod, now on modern Minecraft
Killing mobs in vanilla Minecraft feels a bit… anticlimactic. They just poof into smoke and drop some items. Where's the impact? Where's the crunch?
Mob Dismemberment fixes that. When you slay zombies, skeletons, creepers, and other mobs, they don't just disappear — they break apart into pieces. Limbs scatter. Heads roll. It's visceral, satisfying, and makes every kill feel like it matters.
This is an unofficial port of iChun's classic Mob Dismemberment mod, originally created over a decade ago and beloved by millions. All credit for the original concept and implementation goes to iChun. This port simply brings the mod forward to modern Minecraft versions.
Features
- Gib Deaths — Mobs shatter into body parts when killed instead of playing the standard death animation
- Explosion Physics — Gibs fly further when mobs are killed by explosions (TNT, creepers, etc.)
- Configurable — Adjust blood effects and other settings to your preference
- Client-Side Only — Install on your client and play anywhere, no server installation needed
Installation
- Install Minecraft
- Install Forge
- Drop the mod into your
/modsfolder - Slay some mobs and enjoy the carnage
Important Notes
This is an unofficial port. I am not the original creator of Mob Dismemberment. All credit goes to iChun for the original mod. This project exists to keep this classic mod available for players on modern Minecraft versions.
