About this Mod

Modelle is a Minecraft Forge mod that lets you display custom 3D models (OBJ format) directly in your world.

Features:

Load .obj + texture.png models into the game world
Server-side model storage and synchronization
Per-model settings: rotation (Yaw/Pitch/Roll), scale, position offset
Owner protection with optional edit/copy permissions
Automatic model caching and chunk-based network transfer

How to use:

Create a folder in .minecraft/config/modelle/models/ (e.g. mymodel/)
Put model.obj and texture.png inside
Place a Model Block in world and type the folder name in GUI
Adjust position, rotation and scale with +/- buttons

Models are shared between players automatically in multiplayer via hash-based sync.

How to Install Modelle on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Modelle". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Modelle server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
