About this Mod
More Bed Variants
How could one sleep comfily without a bed made out of wood fitting the planks around the bed? No more of that. All 16 possible bed colours are now also each available in every wood type on top of the usual Oak.
On top of that there are two more variants of the Bamboo Bed inspired by the Bamboo Raft and the Bamboo Block and its Stripped variant respectively. (Thanks to Redupro for the idea and initial design.)
With version 2.0.0+ More Bed Variants (incl. vanilla beds) uses regular Block Rendering instead of Block Entity Rendering enhancing performance and allowing for custom models added by resourcepacks. Two resourcepacks are already built-in to the mod as can be seen below:
More Pillowed Bed Variants and its connected variant.

Adding 208 new beds to Minecraft.
How can I craft vanilla Beds using modded wood types from Biomes o' Plenty, [Let's Do] mods, and others?
Unfortunately, the vanilla Bed crafting recipes have to be overridden for the crafting of the variants to function. But usually these mods add their wood types to the Vanilla recipes, which creates a conflict. Fortunately, there is also a fairly easy way around this issue.
That is what the "More Compatibility Variants" are for:
These datapacks/mods resolve this issue across all of our "More X Variants" mods, so you can craft beds and other vanilla items/blocks just as you would expect.
Currently available More Compatibility Variants:
- Biomes o' Plenty
- [Let's Do] Meadow, (Nether)Vinery, Beachparty and Blooming Nature
- Nature's Spirit
- Oh The Biomes We've Gone

Compatible with Quad 1.3.0+'s block replacement:

Looking out from a window of a small Savanna Village house onto the entrance of the Weaponsmith: We can see that instead of an Oak (Red) Bed and an Oak Crafting Table in the house and an Oak Torch and a Dark Oak Grindstone at the Weaponsmith's, the game now generates the village with an Acacia (Red) Bed, an Acacia Crafting Table (from More Crafting Tables (MCT)), an Acacia Torch (from More Torch Variants) and an Acacia Grindstone (from More Grindstone Variants).
