Music Identifier

A simple Fabric Minecraft mod that shows a notification whenever a new background song starts to play, and allows you to start and stop the music at any time.

Controls

G to show the currently playing song (displays wherever you have it configured)
Y to start playing a song
Shift + Y to stop playing the song

Credits

A LOT of the code for this mod was taken from Now Playing and Start the Music, I simply ported it to 1.19.4 and changed some things around.

How to Install Music Identifier on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.19.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Music Identifier". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Music Identifier server crashes on startup – what to do?
