About this Mod

Music Notifications

Music Notifications is a client-side Fabric mod by aaltay. It reads the music currently playing on Windows and shows it inside Minecraft as a toast notification.

Features

Shows track title and artist from Windows media controls.
Uses Minecraft-style toast notifications with a music disc icon.
Adds notification options to the sound settings screen.
Lets you enable or disable notifications, hide the disc icon, choose toast position, and change display duration.
Suppresses the default toast sound for these music notifications.

Notes

The mod uses Windows System Media Transport Controls. Apps such as Spotify, Chrome, Edge, and other media players may expose different metadata quality depending on how they publish currently playing media to Windows.

How to Install Music Notifications on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Music Notifications". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Music Notifications server crashes on startup – what to do?
