About this Mod

Nature Horizons requires Mantle and Biolith.
Nature Horizons is a mod that add new trees to the overworld to spice up your world.
Nature Horizons add the following tree:
- aspen, found in the aspen forest and old growth aspen forest
- black walnut, found in the aspen forest and old growth aspen forest
- blackwood, found in the savanna biomes
- juniper, found in badlands biomes
- pine, found in taiga biomes(replace vanilla spruce pine tree)
- redwood, found in old growth redwood taiga
as you noticed the mod also add 3 biomes: aspen forest, old growth aspen forest and the old growth redwood taiga
additionally black walnut leaves drop hard walnut and juniper leaves drop juniper berry.
hard walnut need to be be cracked against a hard block to be edible(see nature_horizons:can_break_hard_walnut tag)

How to Install Nature Horizons on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Nature Horizons". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Nature Horizons server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Nature Horizons compatible with forge and neoforge?

Server lagging with Nature Horizons – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Nature Horizons consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
