About this Mod
📖 Description
Nice Rarity Mobs adds a chance for hostile mobs to spawn in one of four different rarities. Each rarity increases in health and has different tiered loot which will be dropped when the mob got killed.
Common Rarity:
- White
- 50 Health Points
- Drops some valuables like Diamonds, Redstone, Emeralds, etc.
Rare Rarity:
- Green
- 75 Health Points
- Drops a bundle with filled with items (12 different themes available)
Legendary Rarity:
- Gold
- 100 Health Points
- Drops a randomly Enchanted Book
Mythical Rarity:
- Purple
- 125 Health Points
- Drops a random enchanted armor piece
🛠️ How to, Instructions & Commands
The datapack usually just needs to be installed. There is nothing else you have to do. It just works out of the box.
But if you are playing on a PaperMC Server (or a PaperMC Fork like Purpur) make sure to set allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards in your paper config files to true in order for everything to work properly.

How to Install Nice Rarity Mobs on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Nice Rarity Mobs". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Nice Rarity Mobs server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Nice Rarity Mobs compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Nice Rarity Mobs officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.3. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Nice Rarity Mobs – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Nice Rarity Mobs consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
