No Friendly Fire (Updated)
This mod disables friendly fire against your pets, unless you hit them when crouching
About this Mod
A simple mod that prevents players from attacking their pets by accident, making the game more convenient.
There is still an option for damaging your pets if you want to intentionally eliminate them. If you hit them while sneaking, it will still damage them. Otherwise, it sends you a hotbar message letting you know the attack was cancelled and informing on the sneaking mechanism. Careful while sneaking!
Should work with any tamed mobs from any mods, if they are registered as tamed and the attack is registered with you as being the attacker.
As of version 1.1, a bonus config file is included with an option to also disable accidental damage against your pets from other players who aren't the owner. They can still damage the pet by sneaking, if this is enabled.
If anyone has differing ideas on how you'd like it to work, feel free to let me know.
