About this Mod

No More Arachnophobia

No More Arachnophobia is a client-side Fabric mod that makes Minecraft spiders much less spider-like.

Instead of rendering as spiders:

Cave spiders render as small slimes
Regular spiders render as slightly larger slimes
Spider sounds are replaced with vanilla Minecraft cat meows

The mod only changes visuals and sounds on your client. It does not change spider behavior, hitboxes, AI, spawning, drops, combat, or server-side gameplay.

This mod only needs to be installed on the client. Servers do not need to install it.

How to Install No More Arachnophobia on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "No More Arachnophobia". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
