About this Mod

A lightweight client-side mod that prevents the chat from closing in the most annoying situations:

Chat stays open after death. Normally, dying closes the chat and shows the death screen. With this mod, the chat remains open, and respawning happens automatically.
No chat closure during teleports. On many servers, teleporting forcibly closes the chat — this mod prevents that.
Unsent messages are saved. Even if you press ESC and don’t send your message, it’s saved in your history (↑ key).

Perfect for players who type long messages, play on teleport-heavy servers, or just don’t want to lose their text.

Лёгкий клиентский мод, предотвращающий закрытие игрового чата в самых раздражающих ситуациях:

Чат больше не закрывается при смерти. Обычно после смерти появляется экран проигрыша и чат сбрасывается. С этим модом экран не мешает — чат остаётся открытым, а возрождение происходит автоматически.
Чат не закрывается при телепортации. На серверах часто происходит автоматическое закрытие чата при телепортах — теперь это не проблема.
Сообщения сохраняются, даже если ты нажал ESC и не отправил их. Просто нажми стрелку ↑, чтобы восстановить текст.

Идеально подойдёт для тех, кто часто пишет длинные сообщения, играет на серверах с телепортами или просто не хочет терять написанный текст.

How to Install NoChatLoss on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.12.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "NoChatLoss". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

NoChatLoss server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.12.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is NoChatLoss compatible with forge?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if NoChatLoss consumes the most tick time.
