About this Mod
Сlient-side utility mod that replaces Minecraft's default fire overlay with a cleaner and much less obstructive version. You still get a clear visual warning that you are burning, but it no longer covers large parts of the screen or gets in the way of combat, movement, or UI visibility.

Client-side only (no server installation required). Fully compatible with singleplayer.
What it does:
- Replaces the vanilla on-fire overlay with a compact low-profile warning.
- Keeps the effect visible enough to clearly show that the player is burning.
- Greatly reduces interference with the HUD, hotbar, crosshair, and general visibility.
- Lets you adjust the overlay directly from the in-game mod config screen.
Configuration:
You can customize the overlay through the mod configuration screen in the mod list menu.
Available settings:
- Enable or disable the reduced fire overlay.
- Opacity.
- Height.
- Width.

Details:

- Fully translated into 10 languages: English, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Italian.

NoFireOverlay server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is NoFireOverlay compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
NoFireOverlay officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with NoFireOverlay – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if NoFireOverlay consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
