NoTextureRestrictions
Minecraft mod that allows to load textures from any url
About this Mod
What's this mod?
NoTextureRestrictions lets servers send you custom textures, like player skins or other visuals without relying on Mojang’s texture servers.
It removes the built-in URL and signature checks, making it possible to use self-hosted or custom texture servers instead.
Perfect for private servers, modded communities, or setups where you want full control over how textures are delivered.
How to use it?
Client-side:
Just install the mod - no configuration needed.
Server-side:
You don’t need to install anything.
If you, for example, have a player head that normally uses a texture from textures.minecraft.net, you can change the URL to any other host, and the client will still be able to load it.
