Oscilica

Oscilica

Oscilica is a renewable alternative of sand in outer End islands. It's generated inside of End Quartz Ore and it's never exposed to air, because Endermen can pick the block.

Oscilica's correct tool is any shovel. If the block is broken without a Silk Touch tool then it drops Dead Oscilica that can be revived with Ghast Tear.

Oscilica and Dead Oscilica like sand can grow cactus and can be smelted into glass but unlike regular sand they don't fall.

Oscilica Pileus

Oscilica fed with Quartz item (not Quartz blocks) can be grown into a big Oscilica Pileus. The pileus size is 65x65 in X and Z directions and 26 in Y direction (height). In total this structure consists of 7082 blocks needing 110 full stacks and 41 items of Quartz to fully grow it. Oscilica can be fed with dispensers (5 max in one block).

The growth counts from the initial Oscilica block. Feeding from any other block generates a new pileus.

Oscilyst

Oscilyst is a solid block that can grow in the edges of Oscilica Pileus with chance of 1/1024. Oscilyst gives 4 Oscilyst Slices. Each one gives 15 seconds of saturation, but eating time of it is 12 seconds. Oscilyst Slice can be farmed by restricting growth of Oscilica Pileus.

Oscilyst Slice can be crafted into 12 Sugar.

Oscilicrete

Dead Oscilica can be packed into Quartz-like greyish green Oscilicrete. List of Oscilicrete blocks:

Commands

This mod adds three commands:

• /oscilica_grow
  • : Position of starting block
  • : In which direction to grow. Optional. Default: random, otherwise values from 0 to 1080 (360 degrees)
  • : In which direction to turn if yaw growth ended. Optional. Default: random, otherwise values true or false
  • : Chance of generating Oscilyst at the edges of the Pileus. Optional. Default: default (1/1024), otherwise value from 0.0 to 1.0
• /oscilica_grow_full_pileus
  • : Position of starting block (always places Oscilica)
  • : Chance of generating Oscilyst at the edges of the Pileus. Optional. Default: default (1/1024), otherwise value from 0.0 to 1.0
• /oscilica_remove_pileus
  • : position of starting block (doesn't remove this block)
