About this Mod

Ender Pearl Chunk Loader Mod

A elegant and intuitive Minecraft mod that repurposes the humble Ender Pearl into a powerful tool for chunk loading. Say goodbye to complex portal-based loaders and embrace a simple, vanilla-friendly solution for keeping your farms and machines running, even when you're far away.

✨ Key Features

  • Ender Pearl-Powered Loading: Throw an Ender Pearl to create a temporary chunk loader. The chunk it lands in will be force-loaded for its entire duration.
  • True Strong Loading: Unlike some vanilla mechanics, our mod provides full Level 32 (Entity Ticking) chunk loading. This means:
    • Redstone circuits continue to operate.
    • Furnaces continue to smelt.
    • Crop growth and other random ticks occur.
    • Mob farms continue to function.
  • Configurable Duration: Easily adjust how long the chunk stays loaded through the config file. Choose from a few minutes to several hours, or even make it permanent until the chunk is unloaded manually.
  • Multi-Dimensional: The loading effect works seamlessly across all dimensions (Overworld, Nether, End). A pearl thrown in the Nether will load its chunk there, not the corresponding Overworld chunk.
  • Visual Feedback: Get clear visual cues! Loaded chunks can be highlighted with a particle effect or a subtle border (configurable), making it easy to see exactly what area is active.
  • Server-Friendly: Includes permissions and config options to balance performance on multiplayer servers. Admins can limit the number of active loaders per player or disable the mod entirely.

🧰 How to Use

Using the mod is incredibly simple and requires no new items or complex crafting recipes.

  1. Obtain an Ender Pearl.
  2. Throw the Ender Pearl into the chunk you wish to keep loaded.
  3. That's it! The chunk the pearl resides in will now be force-loaded until the pearl despawns (by default after 60 seconds) or until you leave the chunk and it unloads naturally.

For a more permanent solution, build a Pearl Stasis Chamber using water and bubble columns to keep the pearl in motion indefinitely, creating a reliable, long-term chunk loader.

❓ FAQ

Q: Does this work on multiplayer servers?
A: Yes! The mod must be installed on the server for full functionality. Server admins have full control over its settings.

Q: Will this lag my server?
A: Any chunk loading can impact performance if overused. Use it responsibly.

Q: Can I use this to keep my entire base loaded?
A: Technically yes, but you would need one pearl per chunk, which is not practical. It's best used for keeping specific, critical farms (like iron farms or mob grinders) loaded.
