About this Mod
A simple forge mod for Minecraft: Java Edition 1.20.1 adding peat, a muddy soil block found in swamps. As well as being a good building block for terraforming projects, it can also be used as a furnace fuel in a pinch. Be careful though: the block is highly flammable. You can find it in swamps and mangrove swamps pretty commonly.

Feel free to use this mod in modpacks.

Server lagging with Peat – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Peat consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
