About this Mod
Chunk Loading made easy!
Everything is done by one upgradeable block — the Chunk Loader. It has 3 tiers, all differ in something. This datapack is completely vanilla — you don't actually need a mod loader to play with Pieced.
Getting Started
The concept is painfully simple — make a block, infuse it with a resource, and it works!

Deepslate Tiles, Gold Ingots, and Glass.
Putting down this Chunk Loader will not load any chunks, you need to activate it first. It's activated by throwing an item at it!
- Gold: Basic 1x1 Loading.
- Diamond: 3x3 Loading, larger than Gold in one block.
- Nether Star: 5x5 Loading, sends out a global message whenever it's picked up
To pick up the chunk loader, you have to burn it! Put fire atop of it, with a flint and steel or a fire charge, and there you have it! It retains your upgrades, but the moment you pick it up it stops working!
The datapack includes tips on how to handle the chunk loader, mod-like tooltips, compatibility with other mods and datapacks, and much more!
I tried to write this datapack as simple in inner workings as possible, the source code has comments everywhere, so if you wish to learn how to make datapacks, feel free to look at the source code!
FAQ
Can I put this on my redstone farm? // Yes!! The crops and redstone will tick there!
Can I put this on my mob farm? // No! Mobs won't spawn without a player around!
Can I re-upgrade Chunk Loaders to higher tiers? // To have a sense of resource balance, when you activate a chunk loader, that loader can't be reactivated again to a higher tier! Sorry!
How can I view chunk borders? // Press F3 + G!
